A Horse of a Lifetime
Well….a post I never imagined I would make, but here we go…a season for everything …a little over 6 years ago, a small, shy, kind, extremely furry Trakehner weanling colt joined our family and filled a huge void after Tobias died. I was not shopping for a weanling but fell in love and the rest is history. Patrick has ushered in (initially through Anissa) some of the absolute most incredible friends that are like family, experiences I’ll never forget or take for granted, and memories that will last a lifetime.
He is goofy and needy and an attention hog. He follows you around the stall and breathes on your neck and demands attention at all times. He is the first one to meet you at the gate. He is full of life and character and pays no attention to personal space and I adore him. At the ripe old age of 6 he is steady and confident. He is smart and willing and tackles new adventures like an old school horse with wisdom and curiosity. He’s been a rock through tough times and a reason to celebrate on numerous occasions.
He now belongs to my new friend (because when you buy a heart horse from me you get to be my best friend while I follow along incessantly on your new journey with him ), Lydia Richardson. Patrick is responsible for some of the best people I know being a part of my life and I know that he will continue that for Lydia. He’s one of a kind for sure and I know that they will have amazing adventures and her horse life will be big and bright because of him. How lucky is Patrick that he gets to be a heart horse to not one but two people! Welcome to the Trakehner family, Lydia!
I’m so happy to be yours and Patrick’s biggest cheerleaders from now on. Congratulations, friend!! Tater Tots are simply the best….
